The 15th delicious year of Devour! The Food Film Fest is set to celebrate Montreal’s vibrant culinary scene, and much more, from October 20 to 26, 2025 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
Offering the perfect blend of food and film with a week-long celebration of culinary excellence, Devour! announced that they will welcome “culinary Montréal legends, Michelin-starred chefs, Oscar-winning filmmakers, and emerging talent together,” this year, alongside Atlantic Canadian chefs, and beverage producers.
“Now more than ever, it’s time to spotlight the incredible Canadian chefs and filmmakers shaping our food culture. We’re thrilled to bring a taste of Montréal to Nova Scotia and celebrate our country’s powerhouse talent!” said Michael Howell, executive director of Devour! The Food Film Fest.
“What began as a simple idea 15 years ago–pairing film with food for one transformative week–has put Nova Scotia on the map. With the completed Devour! Studios, we can’t wait to turn Nova Scotia into a year-round food and film destination.”
Every year the festival offers a wide range of events, signature tastings, an opening gala film, their Chefs & Shorts dinner, Tour De L’Acadie Bike Ride, and The Great Community Chicken Supper, supporting the work of regional food banks.
This year, Devour! already announced three new events, and plans to offer a Montreal live music night. The full program for the 15th anniversary will launch in September, with VIP passes available now on their website.
The three new events announced for 2025 are:
- Montréal Night Market: Enjoy the finest artisanal food products from Montréal and Québec, including a smoked meat stall and much more! This community event will evoke the spirit of Montréal’s historic food markets.
- Poutine Smackdown: Montréal vs. Atlantic – who will be crowned the poutine king? This entertaining community event invites visitors to sample different types of poutine and vote for their favourite!
- Cabane à Sucre (sugar shack): As part of our Sunday Golden Tines Awards Brunch, visitors can enjoy a hearty Québécois feast featuring Québec and Atlantic maple syrup, pancakes, tourtière, maple-glazed ham and more.
In past years Devour! has welcomed celebrity chefs, actors and filmmakers, from Anthony Bourdain, Chuck Hughes, and Michael Städtlander, to Lidia Bastianich, Jacques Pépin, and Ben Proudfoot, to name a few.
